Get High Quality Jacketed tanks for your Industry

Stainless Tank, Jacketed Tank

Tanks are essential equipment needed across different industries like Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Water Treatment, and Mining. The industrial application of tanks includes storing solid to liquid materials depending upon the industry. For example, in the Chemical Industry, huge tanks are required for mixing the chemical agents and for storing the chemicals. Most of these tanks are made from stainless steel and are known as jacketed tanks.

Why is it called a jacketed tank?

Jacketed tanks can be best compared to a thermos or a beer koozie. It has several layers around the actual storage tank. These tanks are designed to keep the content hot or cold through its ‘jacket’ enclosure, as per the needs.

Benefits of jacketed stainless-steel tanks

● These tanks are hygienic and recyclable. Thus, letting the company be sustainable.

● The use of stainless steel in jacketed tanks makes them corrosion resistant.

● These tanks have high durability and strength; thus, allowing them to carry heavyweights.

Jacketed tanks are available in different sizes

These stainless tanks are manufactured in different sizes so that they can best meet the requirements of specific industries. The size of the tanks can range from 150 liters to 2,200 liters.

Types of Jacketed tanks

Steam jacketed tanks are used for industrial cooking and bring agricultural products to processing temperatures. These tanks use steam energy for transferring heat via conduction to the product inside the tank. On the other hand, dimpled jacketed tanks can be used for operations that require drastic temperature alterations. Due to the dimpling of the out jacket, the weight, wall thickness as well as the cost of the stainless tanks is reduced significantly. However, due to thinner layers dimpling jacketed tanks cannot be used for processes that demand thermal shock. This limitation of dimpling jacketed tanks can be overcome by using steam jacketed tanks.

Accelerate your industrial operations by purchasing a stainless tank or a jacketed tank. However, do check if it has been manufactured as per the Australian Standards AS1210.
